- What does sourcing cost?
- A fixed fee, agreed per mandate before any search begins. The fee depends on the rarity of the car and the depth of search required — a volume-production supercar and an off-market hypercar are different undertakings. We take nothing from the seller and no commission on the price, so every pound negotiated off the car is yours. The initial conversation costs nothing.
- Are you a dealer?
- No. We hold no stock, sell nothing, and carry no margin on any car. We are a sourcing consultancy: you engage us to find a specific car, and we act only for you. That independence is the point — a dealer's job is to sell you what they have; ours is to find what you actually want.
- Do you inspect the cars you source?
- Every one, before you commit. Inspections are carried out by marque specialists and cover mechanical condition, paint and body, and full history verification — over-rev reports on GT Porsches, warranty status on McLarens, service continuity on Ferraris. You receive the report whether or not you proceed with the car.
- Can you source from Europe or Japan?
- Yes, where the car justifies it. Some cars are simply better bought abroad — certain hypercars, Japanese-market specials, left-hand-drive limited series. We handle import duty and VAT treatment, registration and transport. We'll also tell you honestly when the premium of a UK car is worth paying, which it often is.
- How long does a search take?
- For a production supercar with a sensible brief: typically a few weeks to a shortlist. For rare or off-market cars: months, sometimes longer — the car has to exist and its owner has to be ready. We'd rather tell you the truthful timescale at the brief than promise speed and deliver compromise.
- Do you handle sales as well?
- We advise clients on selling — timing, venue, presentation and realistic pricing — and can manage a discreet private sale to our network where the car suits it. It's a smaller part of what we do, and we'll say plainly if auction or a specialist dealer would serve you better.
- Will anyone know I'm looking?
- Not unless you want them to. Searches are run without naming the client; your identity reaches a seller only when you decide it should. Discretion isn't a premium service here — it's the default.
- What if you can't find the car?
- Then we say so, and the search ends on terms agreed in the mandate. What we don't do is quietly widen the brief until something — anything — fits. A mandate that ends honestly costs less than a compromise you own for three years.
