Privacy notice
What happens to the information you share when you send us a seller or sourcing enquiry.
This page is a plain-language notice, not legal advice. It describes what this website actually does with the data it collects. It has not been drafted or reviewed by a solicitor, and Belvoir Cars should have it checked against current UK GDPR and PECR obligations before relying on it as a complete privacy policy.
What we collect
When you submit the seller or sourcing enquiry form, we collect what you enter: your name, email and phone number, and — for a seller enquiry — details about your car (make, model, spec, history, mileage, modifications, and figures such as an asking price or existing offer). We also record which page you enquired from and, where available, how you arrived at the site (the referring page and any campaign parameters in the URL). We do not collect this technical information through cookies.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, assess a car you’re selling, or run a sourcing search on your behalf — and for nothing else. We do not sell or rent enquiry data to third parties.
Where it’s stored
Enquiries are stored in a database operated on Belvoir’s behalf by its hosting provider, with a local backup copy kept for resilience. If you email or WhatsApp us photographs or documents (a V5, invoices), those are handled through the relevant provider’s own systems (email, or WhatsApp/Meta).
Who else sees it
A notification of your enquiry is sent to Belvoir by email via Resend, a transactional email provider. No enquiry data is passed to any other third party, and none is used for advertising.
How long we keep it
For as long as reasonably needed to respond to your enquiry and, where a sale or sourcing mandate proceeds, for the ordinary duration of that relationship and any legal or accounting requirement afterwards. If you’d like your enquiry data deleted and no mandate is in progress, contact us and we will do so.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it’s used. Contact enquiries@belvoircars.co.uk for any of this.
